Getting Started
1. Initial Consultation
We start with an initial consultation with you at your home. We want to really get to know you and see how you live, and what you love. Allow for an hour, and we will talk about your project, take photos and preliminary measurements if needed. We charge a set fee for this and there is no obligation to move forward with an agreement- it’s simply our way to give you ideas and get a feel for your project.
2. Design Agreement
When you are ready to move forward, we present our design agreement which includes a scope of services tailored for your project, along with our fees. We include 2 meetings at our shop to review your key photos, inspiration ideas, and your wish list for items to include in the overall vision. Our fee includes (but not limited to) tasks like design meetings and concepts, sourcing products, specifying finishes/fixtures, meetings with vendors and contractors etc.
We require an initial retainer and the signed agreement to start on your project.
3. Design Process- Inspiration to Installation
Depending on the scope of your project, ranging from one room to an entire home, we set up a meeting schedule with you, your builder and/ or architect and our various trade vendors for material selections (such as lighting, tile, plumbing, hardware, cabinetry, countertops, etc). For renovations or new custom-built homes we offer space planning, design concepts, furniture room planning, electrical plans, tile designs, customized trim and cabinetry concepts, as well as window treatment designs.
We work hand in glove with your builder along the way to ensure your vision is translated with bespoke details. Communication and trust are an essential part of our design. We handle turnkey projects from inspiration to installation, seamlessly working virtually for clients moving to Charleston.
